How To Reset Webmail Password From cPanel Within One Minute?

If you have an email with your own domain name and you are using it through the Webmail then you should know everything about it. What would you do if you forgot Webmail password? Step 1:- Login to your cPanel and search for the “mail” section in it. Click on the “Email” option.

Step 2:- Scroll the page downward and you can see that all the email accounts are there. You can change the password of your email account by clicking on “change password”.

Step 3:- Fill the strong password and go for it. The password has successfully changed. Now you can login to Webmail.

Change Password Directly From Webmail

Instead of going to the cPanel you can do cPanel Webmail password recovery by logging to the Webmail. As I have told you in an another tutorial, you can access an email account in Webmail just by typing the URL in the browser. The URL consists your email address followed by Webmail.

name@yourdomain.com/webmail

Step 1:- By typing this in the browser, login to the Webmail.

Step 2:- You will see three Webmail services using which you can access your email account. There is an option to “change password”. Just use that and like the previous one, follow the guide.

If you forgot Webmail password then you can reset it using the login page of the Webmail. If your web hosting company provides that option. Otherwise, you have to use the cPanel.

There is another way to change or reset the password using your web hosting account.

Step 1:- Login to your web hosting account. If you find an “Email” option along with the cPanel then you can use it.

Step 2:- Click on that option and then you will be asked to add/edit an email account then go for it.

Step 3:- In front of all the email addresses, you can see the “change password option. Use it and with the strongest password re-activate your email account.

  1. Ravi — thanks for explaining the cPanel. It took me a long time to figure out what it was for and how to use it. I use Webmail when I’m away on a trip to log into my WordPress site. I also bring all my important passwords with me as I never can remember them.

      I often hear that people don’t really like to use the cPanel. They are afraid that it can cause any problem with their website. Newbies should try to learn more and more about the cPanel.

      Webmail is a nice tool to use. If you haven’t connected your professional email with your Gmail then using the Webmail is the best option you should choose.
